Nana Sally, my amazing and talented mom, has offered her time and talent to alter the shirts to meet the kids individual needs. Like Drew, the kids get their, ports, Pics, and other IV lines accessed when getting chemo either at clinic or in-patient. These shirts will help the nurses access them with ease while providing our little heros with a cool shirt.

February 20th 2023 is the 6th anniversary of Drew's diagnosis, aka cancerversary! 🎗️In honor of Drew, we started a Not-For Profit organization to provide Port Access Shirts to fellow fighters at Children's Milwaukee and elsewhere. We know firsthand how even a small thing can make a difference in the daily lives of our little fighters.

With the funds being raised we are purchasing shirts and snaps to create the port access for kiddos.

A port is used in some children who need IV therapy for a long period of time. IV therapy includes medications such as chemotherapy

Nanas Tubie Tees was started to help kids when their port is accessed with this needle by nurses while on Chemotherapy. Kids call the plastic tubing that connects their port to the IV pole "tubies"

These devices are surgically placed and are totally implanted into tissue that is directly under the skin, most often on the chest

What is a port access t-shirt? Simply it is a tee shirt that easly opens up and exposes the port on a childs chest. We can 't make the procedure easier on a child but hopefully a kid friendly shirt may make it a little more comfortable.

We add snaps to shirts that kiddos like to wear, so they don't have to wear hospital gowns, take their shirts off or gather their shirts around their necks. We shop around for the current popular styes and then add snaps to facilitate access.

Click the tab below to request a Tubie Tee for a child you know that is receiving treatment via a port. Help us put a smile on their face. We regret to inform you that due to significant increases in shirt and postage costs and lack of contributions. On our fixed budget we can no longer continue to serve everyone without requesting a small fee for shipping. We have todate provided over 900 shirts to MACC Center and Heroes in 38 states. We will continue to serve all Wisconsin residents through the MACC Center at Childrens Hospital, Wisconsin.

Help Our Cause
Your support and contributions will enable us to provide a Nana's Tubie Tees shirt to every child that request one as well as supply MACC with enough shirts to give to children on site. Your generous donation will help fund our mission. Since we we have provided over 900 shirts, while we wish there was no need for port shirts, reality is what it is, so we will continue to provide shirts and smiles to our little heroes wherever and whenever we can.

MACC Center Nurse (another True Hero)
These shirts are awesome!!! They are everyday shirts with the themes kids love: paw patrol, Spider-Man, unicorns, and are perfect for allowing us to get the port accessed and the kids not to have their shirts up around their necks!! Awesome thing to do guys!!!!
